This course is designed to be an introduction to wreck diving and to help students develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe wreck diving:
Proper planning, organization and identification of potential
hazards of wreck diving
Proper use of lights and special equipment
Proper use of lines and reels
Deep Diving
Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency
procedures
Assessing the wreck
Penetration techniques (*penetration not required for
certification)
Stress management techniques
Equipment requirements, configurations, and management
Buoyancy skills - anti-silting techniques
Line use
Wreck specific navigation techniques
Wreck mapping
Out of Air emergencies
Proper planning of air supply |
PREREQUISITES:
Advanced Open Water Certification or Equivalent
Minimum 15 years of age
Nitrox Certification is highly recommended but not required |
